My Secret Lover

When the whole world falls asleep,
We meet in the dark of night.
With no one watching, we meet in clandestine.
I wait the long day for that moment of rendezvous.
At twilight, she ascends,
Raises the Angel of Heaven…
A beauty of eternal desire,
Poems, a million inspire.
Fair than the milk,
Shining than the pearl,
There she comes…my secret lover…
The trees bow for the highness Princess,
The elated waves celebrate her arrival,
To welcome her, bloom the cereus.
We meet, in that cold night,
With Nature playing the music of love…
The waves give the chime,
The wind blows the pipe,
The owl, adding his hoot
And the crickets give their chorus.
A million twinkle and smile at me,
But its she who enchants me.
We hide-and-seek among the clouds,
Dance along the waves.
We talk and talk for hours…
Until the night perspires to dew
In the fear of the nearing Tyrant;
Her brother, coming from the East,
Riding his Golden chariot.
Its time for her to leave
And longingly, she vanishes…
There she goes…my secret lover…
